Well, no one is a saint after all.
Speaking of ducks, I could have sworn I heard some quacking around the Institute? But that shouldn’t be possible, my ears must be deceiving me.

We can never claim that our Will does not possess any faults in the end.
And I’m ever so glad to hear that, he’s made too many women cry or throw things in rage that I’m always surprised happy to hear from ladies who enjoy his company.
Though I hold my parabatai in the highest regard, I can’t say that surprises me. Will is terrible for not paying attention.
Oh dear, I’m terribly sorry milady, I can’t seem to recall!
I’m usually quite good with names and faces, too…
But it’s a pleasure to see you again Miss Lilly, regardless of my own faulty memory. Enjoying the sights and sounds of our fair city I hope!
You know…
In the spirit of April Fools day, I dusted itching powder within a pair of Will’s stockings.
He still hasn’t said anything.
Which makes me wonder how often that boy changes them.

Hey guys! I’m so, so sorry for being absent for the last few months. School was really weighing me down as well as some other personal issues but everything should be good now!
Thanks again for bearing with this inconsistency!

Why, yes he does! And I’m sure he would highly enjoy a few letters, he’s been getting incredibly restless.

Thank you!
Hullo! It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance!
Tessa and Will are both doing fine, though Tessa has been strangely quiet in the past few weeks. Will is as unruly as ever if that is any indication.
…. Will? I would ask you if you had partaken in some suspicious substances were you someone else.
They are not lady friends! They are just very kind ladies who I enjoy writing to.
Hullo!
I once again apologize for the delay in replying.
You’ve asked me quite a hard question and I must confess, Will would be upon that list. To be living in solitude with him? That could drive a man stark raving mad, yet…
Tessa, though I’ve only known her for a comparatively long time also would be another one of my choices. Though I would rather not subject her two the poor company of just myself and Will.
As for the last two…. why, I shall have to keep that a secret.
And yes! I believe that Will may have been the last to realize and I am delighted for them. Gideon is a good man and Sophie deserves someone who will truly care for her.
Yours sincerely,
James Carstairs
I must get to replying to them as soon as possible, I hope no one is worried!
As it is the season of Lent, I must confess something and attempt to give up my bad habit.
I have an insatiable sweet tooth.
And as such, I sometimes sneak into the kitchen and take a few lumps of brown sugar when no one is about.
I feel rather awful when Agatha sometimes asks if there are rats in the kitchen as her sugar supply will deplete faster than expected but I never dare say a word.
What to do?!

It was a wonderful day on the Thames. The food vendors were all out on the ice and the look of surprise on Tessa’s face was quite amusing. However, she is quite good on the skates so the two of us traveled around the river as I pointed out buildings and other things to her.
Will showed off his skating skills but that somehow turned into a competition between Gabriel and himself to see who could do more complicated things on the ice.
Gideon arrived as well and he and Sophie stood on the sidelines, him guiding her on her skates. I had forgotten that Sophie had never had a chance to skate since presumably her childhood.
Henry stayed at the Institute to keep Charlotte company, though I remember he spoke of wanting to come another day with everyone and experiment with a new machine…. a camera?
Jessamine spent most of our time there sitting on the sidelines. She refused to come out onto the ice without an escort and didn’t deem any of us lads fit.
By and by, it was a wonderful change of atmosphere to be in the heart of London.

Jem looked up at his parabatai who had just thrown a pair of newly-polished skates at the foot of his bed.
“Hello William. Are we off for a trip?” he asked mildly. Church, sitting in his lap bristled at Will’s entrance and hopped onto the floor.
“Charlotte gave me leave.”
Jem stood up and dusted off his trousers.
“When do you ever ask Charlotte for leave?” he teased, reaching for his coat. “I presume that an invitation went out to the rest of the Institute then?”
Hi everyone,
I’m going away for a trip to -yes- Shanghai and as such, Jem’s blog will be on hold for the duration of the trip.
I hope you all had a merry christmas and have a happy new years!
圣诞快乐! 新年快乐!
Thanks for all the love and support!
Love,
Lian
